Specialist in Operative Dentistry <a href=\"https:\/\/dentalpress.com.br\/portal\/especializacao-em-dentistica-restauradora\/\">Restorer<\/a>, and president and founder of the NGO <a href=\"https:\/\/por1sorriso.org\/en\/\"><em>For a Smile<\/em><\/a>, Rossi is dedicated to promoting oral health in places where access to such treatments is scarce.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dentalpress.com.br\/portal\/pesquisa-da-usp-e-unicamp-desenvolve-dentadura-mais-confortavel-e-higienica\/\">USP and Unicamp research develops more comfortable and hygienic dentures\u00a0<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The NGO's team, comprised of 19 professionals, has already provided services in various locations, not only in Brazil but worldwide. This year, the outlook is that they will visit at least thirteen more locations, as they visited Nova Olinda (CE) in January. Mozambique, Xingu, Kenya, Pernambuco, and Bahia are some of the planned destinations for this year.<\/p>\n<p>In this edition, Rossi problematizes the overly technical and dehumanized approach that serves as the conduct for many dentists in Brazil, and states, \u201cA smile is not just teeth.\u201d One of the great challenges today, according to him, is to think about dentistry beyond technicalities and protocols. It is to think about dentistry in a more human and society-close way. To understand that not everything is summarized by a \u201cbefore and after\u201d published on social media.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDentistry cannot be the direction for a life well-lived, unless you work with smiles, and not <a href=\"https:\/\/dentalpress.com.br\/portal\/curso-de-aperfeicoamento-em-cirurgia-de-dentes-retidos\/\">teeth<\/a>.
