Another action by the NGO Por 1 Sorriso, in partnership with the City Hall, will be carried out in Paraisópolis. The free dental care drive will take place between July 21st and 28th, at the Professor Helcias Rocha Sports Center.

In 2024, 150 patients will be served. They will be selected by the municipality's dentists, who work in the following Family Health Strategy units: ESF Paraíso I (Pouso Alegre Street), Paraíso II (Silviano Brandão Street), Paraíso III (Residencial Paraíso), Paraíso IV (Alto da Glória), and the Rural ESF.

In this edition of the volunteer work event, the professionals from Por 1 Sorriso will perform root canal treatments, restorations, low-complexity surgeries, wisdom tooth extractions, prosthetics, prophylaxis, scaling, and biopsies.

The work is done with the support of the Health servers of the Paraisópolis City Hall.

Previous work parties

The first partnership between the Paraisópolis City Hall and the NGO Por 1 Sorriso took place in April 2023. At the time, 35 professionals attended to 190 patients and performed 1303 procedures. The entire first-line care structure was set up at the Municipal Sports Center and offered quality to the actions.

In August 2023, the NGO's second action took place at the Municipal Polyclinic. This time, the work was also done in partnership with the municipality of Brazópolis. In this edition, 200 prostheses were delivered free of charge to the population – 100 for Paraisópolis and 100 for Brazópolis.
