From May 18th to 24th, the Por1Sorriso organization is providing free specialized dental care in Carrancas, a city in Minas Gerais. The initiative targets individuals in social vulnerability who are served by programs like CRAS, with priority given to families with incomes of up to one minimum wage.
In this edition, the screening has already concluded, but there is still space for appointments. Those who wish to participate need to go through on-site screening, where the possibility of fitting will be checked based on availability. The initiative, which primarily serves families with an income of up to one minimum wage, offers procedures ranging from fillings and root canal treatments to the creation of dental prostheses in a laboratory set up within the court's structure.
The project has about 43 volunteers, including specialists in various areas of dentistry, such as pediatric dentists, endodontists, prosthodontists, surgeons, periodontists, and specialists in restorative dentistry. The facility set up at the location allows for procedures such as fillings, extractions, root canal treatments, periodontal scaling, prophylaxis (cleaning), radiographic examinations, digital scanning, fabrication of dental prostheses, as well as oral hygiene guidance. Appointments will take place from May 18th to 24th, at the Municipal Sports Gymnasium, from 8:30 AM to 7:00 PM. Approximately 150 patients will be seen.
