Carrancas (MG) Receives Free Oral Health Action

The campaign runs until Sunday (May 24) and includes cleaning, restoration, extraction, root canal treatment, periodontal scaling, prosthesis fabrication, and radiographic exams.

The non-governmental organization (NGO) Por1Sorriso is providing free dental care until this Sunday (May 24). Carrancas, a municipality in southern Minas Gerais. The initiative offers procedures ranging from restorations and root canals up to the creation of dental prostheses in a laboratory set up within the Municipal Sports Gymnasium itself.

The initiative targets individuals in vulnerable social situations who are served by programs such as the Social Assistance Reference Center (Tomorrow, with priority for families with income up to one minimum wage.

In this edition, screening has already concluded, but there is still room for appointments. Interested parties who wish to participate should undergo on-site screening, during which the possibility of fitting them in will be verified according to availability.

The project has about 43 dental volunteers, such as pediatric dentists, endodontists, prosthodontists, surgeons, periodontists, and specialists in operative dentistry. The estimate is for approximately 150 patients.

The structure set up on-site allows for procedures such as restorations, extractions, root canal treatments, periodontal scaling, prophylaxis (cleaning), radiographic examinations, digital scanning, fabrication of dental prostheses, as well as oral hygiene guidance.
