Ibitiúra Receives Free Dentistry Volunteer Action in Partnership with the NGO “For 1 Smile"
Professionals are setting up a mega-structure at the city's sports complex, offering everything from simple check-ups to complex treatments and free dental prosthetics, during four days of volunteer service.
In a remarkable demonstration of solidarity and care for the community's oral health, the city of Ibitiúra de Minas received a volunteer action of free dentistry, a result of a collaboration between the municipality and the NGO “Por 1 Sorriso.”.
For four days, dedicated professionals assembled a mega-structure at the city's Poliesportivo, offering a full range of dental services. From simple check-ups to more complex procedures like root canals and extractions, everything was carried out with care and free of charge. Furthermore, the NGO also provided free dental prosthetics, offering not only immediate care but also significant improvements in patients' quality of life.
A total of 30 professionals, including dentists, assistants, technicians, prosthetists, and even a lawyer, dedicated their time and skills to make this initiative a reality. With over 40 hours of volunteer work dedicated, the team spared no effort in meeting the needs of the local population.
Health Secretary Ana Claudia highlighted the care process, emphasizing that 150 patients were initially attended to, receiving complete and personalized treatment.
Mayor Alexandre expressed his deep gratitude for the initiative, highlighting the importance of these actions for the community. “Receiving the volunteers from the NGO ‘Por 1 Sorriso’ is a cause for great satisfaction for all of us. On behalf of the population of Ibitiúra de Minas, I would like to extend our sincere thanks to everyone involved for their commitment and generosity in promoting health and well-being in our city,” stated the mayor.
